This album gives a brief account of the Falklands War which started, although was never officially declared, on 2 April 1982. We have focused on three main aspects to which Cranwelliand made a valuable contribution: the Harrier Force; the 'Black Buck' missions; the other air support operations.
An extract of the Cranwellian Roll of Honour, paying tribute to those who lost their lives in WWII air operations in the months of April.
In 2018, a fellow Cranwellian passed us authorised copies of some of the RAF Cranwell Fs540 ORBs for WWII from a project he had been working on. This album captures all the extracts for each April of the war years, primarily of the Station ORB, but also some from SSQ, 17 FTS and 3 (C) TU.
